I'm running NG14 on machine A (under Win7 Eval, build 7100), backing up to a network share on machine B. The target device is a Drobo (usb) drive. I have no problems backing up machine B directly to that drive; however I consistently get ED800012 when backing up machine A to that drive across the network. I'm *assuming* the error occurs during the verify stage based on the fact that it happens after a couple of hours (which normally is about how long the backup would take.)
This problem is new with NG14; i.e., before upgrading from NG12 I did not have this problem. I was able to backup machine A to a directly attached IOmega REV drive under NG14, although I had occasional problems (of a different nature). Note also that when backing up machine B directly to the drive I'm running NG12/WinXP - so I don't know if the problem is related to NG14 vs. NG12 or to backing up to a share on NG14.
This problem of course renders NG14 useless to me as I'm unable to get a backup of my machine. (I'm currently trying to do a one time backup directly to machine A's hard drive, but that's an interim solution that will not work once my drive gets a bit fuller.)
Please advise (and/or let me know how to return NG14 for a refund so I can give Acronis a try.)
