I have been using NIS since 2010 and have never seen this before. Always have both updates on, got warning this morning that my definitions could be out of date as they hadn't been updated for 3 days. It works fine when I press live update button but don't know why it should have suddenly stopped doing updates automatically. Checked settings and they are all switched on. Even tried switching them off, rebooting and then switching them back on.
