Why don't you try v2008?
That shouldbe a big improvement
Hello All
I just upgraded from NIS 2005 to NIS 2007. THe interface is a far cry from 2005 to say the least. Another thing is that any time i download anything from the web I receive an error message stating the Internet Connection was Reset. If I shut down NIS 2007 Firewall I do not receive any problem.
The thing is I am unsure what about the firewall is causing this break in the internet connection.
I then see the pop up on my taskbar that my wireless re-connected.
Has anyone had this type of issue before? What can I do to resolve this issue?
Also this is what I see in the Norton ACtivity Log
Details: Rule "Block Windows File Sharing" blocked communication. Local address: (netbios-ssn(139)).
Process name is "System".
I see this message every time before the connection breaks while downloading. I then shut the firewall off and then download and then re-enable the firewall.
Is there any reason why downloading from the web would be deemed windows file sharing? Also how can I correct this?
hi stever80 - that is a problem i haven't seen before, but it sounds like something screwy with the rules... the tool in this article should reset the firewall rules and that may help.
