I think it was just a update. But please do a full scan and see what NIS tells you

This is nothing to worry about, but I would do a Full System Scan just in case.

Thank you Stu and Floating_Red for your responses.  I do a Full System Scan a couple times a week and so far, all seems okay.

 

It's just that yesterday when I saw the keylogger item listed, I was both surprised and concerned.  But thank you for your reassurance that it's nothing to worry about.

Your machine doesn't do any strange things as well?

Nothing strange that I noticed.  Thank you for asking. 

 

I have noticed though that lately when I do a scan, there are more tracking cookies listed.  Before I would see an average of 5-8 tracking cookies.  Now it's around 20 plus-minus.  The first time I noticed the change, the number of tracking cookies was 44.  That was a shock because I was so used to seeing 6-8 at a time.  Normally I do a Quick Scan nightly before I shut down the computer.
