I originally bought NIS 2007 with protection for up to 3 PCs, and have used it to protect two PCs up to now. The subscription has 195 days left. I have a third PC that already has NIS 2008 on it but only has 3 days left in its subscription. When I download from the existing NIS 2007 order and run the install I run into a variant mismatch, which makes sense since NIS 2007 should not want to go on top of NIS 2008.

 

All I really want to do is make use of the subscription I already paid for on this third computer. I am not looking to upgrade (from 2008 to 2008!), just to extend the subscription. Is this possible and if so how do I achieve it?

I think you have a trial version installed on your computer. All we need to do is to activate the Norton product using your activation code.

 

  • Open Norton product.
  • Click on Help and Support on the right top corner.
  • On the Help and Support window,click on Activation.
  • Click on next in the new window and then enter your 25 alpha numeric activation code(Product key).
  • Click on next and proceed with the activation.
