Try a system restore back to prior the Mozilla install.
If that fails, I would go ahead and run the Norton Removal Tool , then reinstall your NIS.
ok i've tried reinstalling firefox 3, den restarting my computer. norton worked for a fews days (since my last post) and now it stopped working again.
any idea of the cause of it?
i recently downloaded firefox 3, and now my NIS wont work
it wont open/run even though i double-clicked on it several times
should i uninstall and reinstall?

NIS version - NIS2008 15.5.0.23
If you downloaded FF3 ... did you stop at that point for some reason or did you proceed to a full installation? proceeded with full installation
Did the installation proceed without apparent incident? no
Do you have any plug-ins? flashgot, colourful tab, download statusbar, splash, ie tab.

Anything is possible - have not heard that simply downloading FF3 killed NIS dead before now though (or killed anything else for that matter).
It would help if you gave us some useful info to work with ...

When you say NIS won't work ... what exactly do you mean? What are you double clicking?
Are you the only user / hase anyone else altered any settings?
