I am attempting (unsuccessfully) to instal NIS 2009 from CD. As soon as I click "Install NIS", the opening screen disappears and I am presented with the Epson Scanner screen. Cancelling this, leaves me with Desktop, NIS 2009 CD in the drive and no installation sequence. Further attempts have the same consistent result. The m/c is HP Pentium 4 runniing XP SP2. NIS 2008 is still loaded but time expired. The printer/scanner is Epson Stylus RX 620. The NIS 2009 CD has already successfully installed over NIS 2008 on my Acer laptop and is apparently behaving normally. The printer/scanner works fine with either computer. I should warn that I am a 72 year old geriatric on a steep learning curve and "use" computers rather than fiddle with them but do have a very ancient electronic and computer background - (Elloit 803/Leo 3/Ferranti Argus/Digital Equipment PDP 14 - wot, you've never heard of them!). I would be very grateful for any advice from all the experts out there.
