When I had NIS 2008 installed, I had no trouble sharing files between my XP desktop and my MacBook. I've upgraded the XP machine to NIS 2009 and now I cannot share files anymore. I've tried to map the drive on the Mac using cifs://<ip>/c$ and smb://<ip>/c$ but both time out. I've tried turing the NIS 2009 firewall off and still couldn't connect.
I know it is not OS X since I can map with cifs or smb to a NetApp Filer at the office.
Please help!
