Windows XP with SP3
Microsoft office 2002
NIS 2009
When I shut down the computer I get a runtime error R6025 - pure virtual function call in MSIMN.EXE (C++ error message). This error only pops up when outlook express is loaded.
If I stop the Norton Security service I don't get the error message. I've done a clean boot with only Norton and Outlook Express running and still get the error message. On occasion, with NIS 2009 installed, Explorer.exe will also hang on shutdown. When NIS 2009 is uninstalled there are no issues. Outlook Express is fully functional with no issues.
I've uninstalled and re-installed NIS 2009, using the Norton removal tool and also removed all references to Symantec and Norton but the issue reappears after the first live update of the Norton product.
The windows event logs don't show any error messages. I've also noticed that the "one click support" doesn't work, with a message " unable to connect" even though I'm connected via WiFi.
