I think something was wrong with the update. Not only Norton is calling this a trojan. I tested it on another machine  tthere happens the same

Hi Tony

Could you please resend the email?

I never received anything

Thanks, I’ve resent the email. I’ve also sent it as a PM.

I installed the new NIS 2009 today.  Today I also got a Windows Update notice.  I clicked ok to download, and NIS 2009 thought it was a trojan. The Windows Update never got downloaded. I uninstalled NIS 2009, and was able to download and install the update.

Why would NIS 2009 think a Windows Update was a trojan? How would I stop it from doing this?

Thanx Tony.

I just answered your PM

It appears that this was only happening the the Beta builds of NIS 2009. Has anyone been able to reproduce this issue with the released version (Norton Internet Security 2009 16.0.0.125)? Thanks!

I’ve had no problems with Windows Update on any of four machines, one of which was used for the beta test.
