On Dec. 06, a Symantec popup advised me that NIS 2010 had been downloaded to my computer and all I had to do was to hit the install button.....and actually, that's all I had to do. My NIS 2008 was removed, settings saved, and a very nice NIS 2010 install occurred. The 2008 version was a nightmare, but the 2010 is a delight......so far. I particularly like the Site-Safe feature and the fact that my computer does not freeze when NIS processes are running as it did with the 2008 ver. NIS 2010 quietly and unobtrusively stays in the background and does its work.
Question re the popup that NIS 2010 is performing background tasks......What sort of background tasks is NIS performing?
