OK - here is one to see who really knows their stuff.
I have been using NIS2010 with Outlook 2007 in Windows 7 quite happily for a few months. Then, a couple of days ago, the antispam function simply stopped working. The Norton toolbar is there, as is the Norton Antispam folder. In the NIS network settings the antispam is on, client configation is on for Outlook, the allowed and blocked lists are still the same. In fact none of the settings have changed.
However, the antispam simply does not recognise anything as spam. All the spams (and I get a LOT) simply pile up in the inbox. I can transfer them to the Norton Antispam folder with the This is Spam button and that adds the email address to the blocked list, as always. Interestingly, when I get a repeat spam - which sometimes happens - it still is not recognised even though its email address is on the blocked list.
I've tried all the usual: un-integrated NIS from Outlook then re-integrated it, uninstalled NIS and reinstalled, check my ports are still 110 and 25, wasted hours with the Norton technical support guys....
OK - can anyone suggest how to fix this one?
