I have upgraded (10) computers from NIS 2009 to 2010 and have seen this issue on (2) of the (10) computers.
When attempting to create a custom scan I select the "Add Folder" option but the "Computer" branch does not expand to show all folders. Instead, I can only select folders that are available on the desktop. On (1) computer I removed NIS 2010 using the Norton Removal Utility and reinstalled but the problem still exists.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I was feeling crazy and contacted Norton Support but other than telling me (10) times to reinstall the product (even though I had already told them (10) times this had been done) and that NIS doesn't work well on MS Server 2003 (news to everyone I'm sure), they provided no assistance whatsoever. But as always, I enjoyed wasting over 1 hour of my life dealing with offshore support.
Of the (10) computers I have upgraded, (1) is running Windows Server 2003 and (9) are running either Windows XP Home or Windows XP Pro. The issue noted above has been seen on Windows Server 2003 as well as Windows XP Pro.
