I am not a computer genius so bare with me if i am confused by explanations, but Norton seems to be missing some sort of problem. I am getting pop ups while running internet explorer or firefox. They are random and don't occur consistently. Sometimes I am redirected to a blank page witht he url of results.gugle.com. I get a fake message almost looks like it is apart of the system called "online protection tool". IE sometimes changes my page into what looks like some sort of virus scan telling me I have trojans
Norton finds nothing wrong with my computer, Ad-aware finds nothing wrong with my computer but I can't update ad-aware. I tried to download spyware doctor but apparently you have to update it before you run it and i can't receive the smart update. Finally I tried getting spybot search and destroy but when I go to finish the installation it won't let me complete.
Is there another solution to my problem or should I just give up and freshly re-install the operating system.
