I have 2 computers (A and B) on a wireless network. Both have shared files and printers. Computer B can always access A's shared files but computer A can only access B's files after NIS is installed until B is re-booted. After a re-boot of B, A can't get to B's files no matter how many times I re-boot B. The only fix is to re-install NIS on B. However, when I re-boot A, B can still access A's files. Both computers are running Windows XP with service pack 3 and the most recent updates. I tried using AutoDetectPkg.exe to ensure I had the latest level of NIS on both computers and it indicated I am up to date. This problem sounds like a problem listed in the "Hot Fixes" list but, if I truely am at the latest level of NIS, then this is a different problem. Any ideas?
