NIS 2010 prevents PerfectDisk from boot-time defrag

Having installed NIS 2010 + updated to v17.6.0.32 the boot-time defrag can't be performed by Raxco PrefectDisk v10.

Right after Windows boot screen with a bar PerfectDisk analyzes the disk fine but instead of starting defragmentation it pops-up an error message: "could not lock drive c: for exclusive access".

It worked with no problems before I installed NIS2010, not any more now.

Raxco support says that "3rd party products have drivers that open the drive for write access prior to PerfectDisk's boot time defrag being able to mount the drive for exclusive access. If the drive has been opened for write access, for safety reasons PerfectDisk will not perform the boot time defrag."

OS is WinXP Pro SP2 32bit

Any partition can't be defragged either FAT32 or NTFS.

Is there any trick that might fix this issue?

Any help appreciated.
