NIS 2010 wrong catch: K-Lite Codec Pack

Hello all, i use NIS 2010 and today, SONAR block K-Lite Codec Pack when i try to install it. It is safe, but NIS block it!

So, how should i do?

Yes, I can confirm that there's a detection of this installer, from a legitimate source fof getting it.

There is a tiny possibility that some malware got smuggled into it, maybe inadvertently. Unfortunately, too big to check on ThreatExpert.

Downloaded from filehippo.com, NIS2010 does not detect anything. OP downloaded the file from softvnn.net which Norton Safe Web detects as having threats.

The file has to be executed for the detection to occur.

I haven't installed it but I have executed it.

Just checked it - the filehippo issue gets zapped too.

Are you sure you downloaded the identical pack?

I downloaded it from http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_mega_codec/ and my NIS2010 is up-to date.

Again, I executed it with no intervention from Norton.

Zapped every single time here - I guess some NIS 2010 clients are more paranoid than others. :smileyvery-happy:
