New as of today.
Yesterday I had a problem with my NIS 2011; it had the white cross on red circle and would not turn on. It told me the best way was too update to NIS 2012. This I did, all was ok. So I did a quick scan, back came the cross symbol and would not turn on again.
Spent 45 minutes with a Symantec technician this morning. Allowing him access to my desktop direct. He was going so fast that I could hardly keep up with him; he obviously knows what he was doing. Anyway he uninstalled my product and reinstalled the NIS 2012. He had to restart my PC a couple of times. We signed off and all seemed ok, but after a quick scan the same problem occurred. So I uninstalled NIS and reinstalled as required, it is in the process of doing a full scan at the moment.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that all is ok.
The guy that helped me was great; I think his name was Samual Johnson.
