Hi. I'm using NIS 2011 and Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.9. For a couple of weeks now I experience from time to time incoming emails with a blank body. Nothing is displayed, but the content of the body is listed in ‘view source’ of the emails. There are only a few emails affected, sent from various people to me, the majority are fine. I’m not sure NIS email or spam protection is messing around with the incoming mail. I'm trying to get to the bottom of this. In one of my readings it was mentioned that NIS2011 email protection scans emails only exclusive to ports 110 and 25. Could somebody please confirm that?
Since my ISP (BigPond, Australia) supports only port 995 for POP3 I would be able to turn off email protection and anti spam and not compromise any security because it doesn’t work anyway and I might be able to solve that problem in this way.
