NIS 2011 Full Virus Scan hanging up

Norton Auto-Protect found and Quarantined Bloodhound malpe.  from Java of course, cleared Java temp files (I'm not sure why I need Java) I hope it's a false positive, still need to do a Full system scan after stopping system restore, I went back to defaults on Virus scan (I set it to scan compressed files) only after hitting stop scan and then say "NO" in the confirmation window does it continue, It must of been hanging up on a compressed file....Is it safe to use Norton"s Eraser?.......Help.......Gorpy1

After stopping System Restore and Rebooting Recieved Adobe Update of New updated Flash Player and Now after running sucessful Virus Scan was able to run Full Virus (Compressed Files) Scan. No Longer a problem. Will run MBAM again to make sure.Norton Ersaer ran fine, Finding nothing.Sorry to be a bother with this....Take Care.....Gorpy1

Hello GORPHY1

I would try and make it a habit to go to Adobe and Java websites like once a week or so rather than waiting for the program to tell you when there is an update. The flash player update came out a while ago. If you check the sites like once a week, you will probably find the updates more quickly. Also there is usually an announcement in the Tech Outpost  area of the Norton Forum.

Here is the link for the Tech Outpost where you will find topics that aren't directly about Norton products. You can find it by hitting Norton Community and then scroll down to Tecn Outpost.

Just a little information Gorphy that you may find helpful.
