I am running WINXP Pro SP3. I use PowerDesk as my file manager. I just installed a trial load of NIS 2011 and immediately noticed a conflict with PowerDesk; in particular, Windows Explorer crashs when you right click on a directory or file. I poked around a bit and found several similar problems related to the Context Menu. I tried the fix of renaming the PowerDesk contact menu item in the Registry (so it is loaded last). That works for files and drives, but not for folders. I can get around the problem by disabling the PowerDesk ZIP Extension context menu but I want to fully resolve the problem.
A similar thread on this forum suggests that the problem can be solved with a patch from Avanquest, but the link provided is broken and I can not find anything on the Avanquest site.
