I've just installed NIS 2011 as an upgrade to my previous NIS 2010 (using the automatic download and install route). Everything went ok as far as I can tell, and it restored all my Identity Safe data as well.
However, one small difference I noticed, compared with NIS 2010 ... When the NIS icon appears in the system tray towards the end of my pc's start-up sequence, it seems to have what looks like a grey circle containing a diagonal white bar in the bottom right hand corner of the icon. It only changes to a green circle with a white tick after quite a few seconds. During this time, I cannot launch NIS.
This never happened with NIS 2010. As soon as the icon appeared in the system tray it contained its green circle with a white tick and I could launch it straight away.
Is this normal behaviour for NIS 2011? Also, am I still protected during this "grey circle / white bar" phase?
I'm running Windows XP SP3. NIS 2011 version is 18.1.0.37.
Regards,
Geoff
Thanks Yogesh, that's reassuring.

Did a clean install of NIS 2011 yesterday, did all tweaks, registered, updates, full system scans, reboots and I still have the grey circle with the white slash.
Moved to new thread for better exposure.
