My installation of NIS 2011 version 18.5.0.125 just crashed error given was nothing but gibberish on the screen upon clicking the One Click Support buttons to see the support article I was directed to download and run the Norton Removal Tool which I did after checking to see if I could at least back up the log files; but to my surprise there were not any log files to be backed up (rather odd). I have since reinstalled the original version of NIS 2011 version 18.1.0.37 and brought it back up to date. The effected system is running Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit edition. The problem experienced has also occurred in NIS 2011 version 18.1.0.37 with or without any customizations except for the use of the Network Security Map component anytime this component is used NIS will crash anywhere from immediately after starting to a week later.
I have also been flooded with complaints from my clients because they too are having the same issue so I would have to say I am not the only having this problem. The program seems to be stable so long as the user does not attempt to use the Network Security Map component of NIS 2011.
