I have used NIS for a few years without a problem. Today I checked for a new version and did an upgrade to 2012. It installed but shortly afterwards I started getting BSODS. Despite repeated reboots and using safe mode it kept happening. I rolled back using system restore to find NIS 2011 was no longer present. I reinserted the disk and tried to reinstall it. It got updates and then asked to restart. After restart nothing was working properly. I got partway and onto the desktop but lots was not loading. It also took out Office and a few other applications. Luckily I used Acronis and restored the last backup and i am back with NIS 2011. I am now wondering if NIS 2012 is going to be impossible to put in.My network adapter is a Realtek not atheros and as 2012 has been out for a bit it looks like I might have to head for Kaspersky. i am running WIn 7 Pro 64 bit SP1 with a fresh install at the beginning Sept and totally up to date. (I have had this system for some time with 2011 but formatted to clear out old stuff and get it back to new)
