Hello
First time posting.
Iv been using NIS since 2011 and never had any problems...
Upgraded to NIS2013 when it came and the problems started, first the icon not appearing when rebooting sure that was just a minor annoyance which was patched by Norton.
Then on 20 Nov i came back to pc after sleeping (with windows in locked mode) and found library (directly translated) folder open and icon gone in the taskbar but the Norton process still running (i tought thats strange since only i use the pc) and rebooted then everything looked alright again (did full scan after reboot with no virus or other malware detected) except from new entries in the log that WMIPRVSE.EXE tried to "open file" twice never seen that during my years with Norton until now... read that it was something with tamper protection so i tought ok...
then again another day library folder open again and same WMIPRVSE.EXE msg in the log but Norton still in the taskbar working as normal.
And today i unlocked windows and found an error box from Norton saying "Error 8506,421" which from what i read is something with corruption and Norton was unresponsive.
I rebooted... ran a scan and then autofix which now claimed that there was no problems which is strange.
Iv scanned HD for corruption and found nothing and everything else is working as usual.
I find it very strange all this started around 20 Nov as iv had no problems in the months before with 2013 other than the icon thingy, is Norton aware of this and working on a patch or something? I would rather not have to reinstall NIS if it doesnt even fix it which some people are writing.
