I upgraded to 2013 a few weeks ago, from 2012. But 2013 seems to be really hogging my computer resources.
Like just now -- computer was on "Hibernate" Standby for about 3-hours. Came out of this and NIS just grabbed the computer and kept it for around 20-minutes or so.
Was finally able to access "Tasks," and NIS had first done a "Quick Scan" -- on its own and w/o any OK from me, etc -- then proceeded to lock the computer up with further cpu activity. But mostly, the lock was b/c of *solid* HDD access (lsass.exe, and the two NiS processes).. Would not let anything else run. Completely frozen -- no Desk Top, QL, etc, etc.
Again, I finally got a view of Tasks -- but nothing was active, AFAICT. To get out of this "lock," the only thing I could do was "Power-Button Off" shutdown. [And that screws up my RP on GHOST. Will no longer do "incrementals." Have to wipe the back-up drive and do another 45-min. or so Full RP. Bummer.]
Anyone have ideas on what I can fo about this, for the future? (Has happened about 2-3 times in the last several weeks.)
