NIS 21.2.0.38 Crash

Upgraded to latest NIS (via Check for new update) - install went fine - rebooted and all was fine.  Ran LiveUpdate.  Had apparent mail problem (that was not related to Norton) and during diagnosis, I disabled Smart Firewall.  After I clicked OK on the 15 minute timer for the firewall to remain off, recieved a popup stating "Norton Internet Security has stopped working.  A problem caused the program to stop working... Close the program"

Event Viewer shows:

Faulting application name: NIS.exe, version: 12.11.2.6, time stamp: 0x5306df3b

The same now happens with LiveUpdate.  The original LiveUpdate applied four items and a patch.

I can access all settings, can run Quick Scan - just can't LiveUpdate, Disable A/V, or Disable FW

Once I have three failures, Norton will not restart and the only way to restart appears to be a reboot.

Anyone seen this one?
