NIS activation problem

I bought NIS (with Utilities) from Argos yesterday, but was unable to install it because it would not accept some of the letters in the code (A,S,E,U) on either my PC and lapop, both Windows 7; the machine would jsut beep. If I tried to cut and paste, there would be blank spaces where those letters were supposed to be. I took it back today and exchanged it for another, but that had the same problem on both machines and also on an old netbook with XP.

However, I noticed that the software was clearly asking for a 25 digit code (five blocks of five digits), but the activation code in both cds was 20 digits (five blocks of four digits). Can someone confirm how many digits the code should be before I take the second cd back?

PS Before anyone asks, I know that there are two activation codes, one for NIS and one for Utilities!
