I have a 90 day copy of NIS that came with new ASUS motherboard.
Computer is running Win 7 64 bit on ASUS mb with Intel quad cpu 4 GB ram. All other apps work.
NIS install proceeds smoothly. App seems to run after install. Can configure for instance. Declined the opportunity to extend subscription past 90 days. App seems to run after configuration - I leave the default configs.
On reboot the app hangs. Norton gadget shows activity and Windows shows network busy on task bar. However in Task Manager no evidence of associated CPU activity. Norton app will not start. Internet access blocked for other apps. Norton uninstall hangs.
Have to reboot to safe mode with networking to uninstall. App uninstalls cleanly using Win uninstall tool.
Have gone through this twice.
Need help.
