NIS Identity Safe Encryption

The Norton Identity Safe help text states that it encrypts the password associated with each URL/logon stored.  No where does it state what encryption technique is used AES, Blowfish, etc.  What does Norton use and has anyone had a problem with using the Identity Safe or had their password file cracked?
