Last Monday I had a Norton Chat rep fix my NIS14 after it started having ccsvchst problems whenever I tried to shut down my computer. I was also having to restart my computer if I wanted to manually scan or view my settings. My Windows 8 laptop was fine until last night when I was unable to scan my computer. I used the autofix option and restarted my computer and everything seemed fine. Well at about 11:00 pm I decided to turn in for the night and went to shut down my computer. After the shut down screen appeared an error popped up but stopping the shut down. I was only able to make out something like 09x000 before the computer shut down like normal.
My question is if this is a major problem or just a annoyance that pops up with NIS while on a Windows 8 computer? From what the rep told me last Monday this is mainly due to the way Windows 8 shuts down. The only problem is that it is kind of freaking me out since this is only a two month old laptop. Is there a manual work around to fix this or do I have to constantly uninstall/reinstall NIS?
