NIS missed Facebook Scan (links)

Looks like my 4 month old starter thread has been locked/dormant so I get to create a brand new one, YAY lol

So a friend on Facebook viewed a video and somehow it posted on her wall; went a little something like this:

Annie watched a video on socialcam: Girl takes pics everyday for 4yrs

So of course theres a snapshot of the picture for the video and a LINK that allows me to watch the same video she did as well. Chances are its gonna direct me to the website where originated from

BUT like I said, when I peformed a Facebook Wall Scan, it completely skipped it.  I took a picture of my feed (not very many threads) and a picture of my facebook scan results.

Would you like them?  Or can you tell me if Norton Internet Security doesnt scan everything for Facebook?  Thanks

Okay after about an hr chat I think I finally got a decent answer.

When Norton Internet Security Scans your Facebook wall, the results listed will ONLY be the links in their Norton Safe Web Database.

Say you log into your Facebook, say a friend posted a link. Say you ran a Facebook Wall Scan.  Did you see the link you're wondering about? NO?? Well that means that the link isnt in their Norton Safe Web Database.  So it wont show up in the report

Now I have already submitted my feedback to hopefully let us know in future updates.   Maybe even NIS 2013 that the links that arent in their database will show us "use at your risk"

Also one thing I learned is that there is a delay.  If you run a scan now, you have to wait at an unspecified number of minutes before re scanning.

10-30min wait

Thank you for reporting back and providing us with that information.

Sorry it took so long. I'm guessing that there aren't too many of us who are really 'expert' with the Norton/Facebook interaction.

Again, thanks
