NIS "Settings" Password fails:

I have a new W8, 64-bit Laptop with a 60-day trial version of NIS 20.2.0.19, fully updated. I created & used the same password for getting into the security "Settings" tab that I am using on my two other NIS-PCs. That password worked fine on the new laptop last night, but today...an Error appears stating "The password is incorrect".

Between last night and today, many updates were installed for several applications on the laptop. A couple of OS freezes occurred, too, which required hard reboots. Is it possible that something associated with the Settings password may have been corrupted?

Update: I found the following Norton link with instructions for resetting the Security Settings Password:

https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?docid=v44151547_NIS_OEM_2013_en_us&product=home&pvid=f-home&version=1&lg=en&ct=us

And the instructions in the link above...worked. However ->Step 2<- would have been a little easier to understand if it proceeded thusly: Open Windows (8) Control Panel, go to "View by" and choose "Category". Under "Programs", click on "Uninstall a program".

The other Steps were easy to follow.  :smileyhappy:
