Which version of Norton Internet Security are you running? As you may know, a new version of NIS 2008 (http://www.symantec.com/newnis) and NIS 2009 (http://www.norton.com/nis09) have been released. There are many fixes in both of these products, and they are free with your current subscription. Have you applied these updates? Also, are you running Windows Vista sp1 or not? Any additional information you can provide is appreciated. I am sorry for the experience you’ve had, and we hope to resolve this problem for you quickly. Thanks!

TNX U for reply.

If I good remember from that first adress Norton Service had to use install program, that was many installation, sorry. For sure they didnt use that second adress, I dont know why - I didnt know about NIS09, but UR people had to know I think...

I use Vista pl SP1 with all fresh updates possible to download via automatic WinUpdate. My NIS08 for now (that one, which is working OK - but from time to time also non-working - but without support in Firefox is: Media SKU: 12608445 family SKU is ~426 (probably U asked about it?).

My problem is with CCSVCHST.exe signed as Symantec Service Framewor.

Maybe that is important for U - from time to time that process in present installation gives problem too - but after few minutes it stopped. Also, I had in the past problem with crashing Symantec Service Framework (that comunicate is famous round net) after start of Win and starting to install updates via auto LU. I received advice from Norton Service to remove my instance of NIS08, swap to another admin account into Win, reinstall from that account NIS08 to finish with that problem, cos I have corrupted instance of NIS.

I didnt do that, cos after crash more easy to me was click on NIS in menu Start to restart it, and also cos that problem dissapeared on self one day (I dont know how, maybe update). But last week I do that when my problem started - of course null result.

I dont have any idea, what I have to say more, sorry, Im not coder...

Hello!

I wanna say Im sorry, but my problem was hardware problem, as it said Norton staff.
I called Toshiba service who finished with problem by MB and CPU changing. Now, I hope permanently, problem is done.

TNX U for advice with NIS09 - that is really better than NIS08.
