Yes, I was able to reproduce it, that's why I posted.

Now:

I reinstalled FireFox, deleted entry from program control so that NIS detected it again...

and now it's working as it should.

Well, better a fake alarm than no alarm....

Thanks.

Well, I found a strange behaviour, I report just in case it's not only me.

1) Vista Home Premium SP1

2) I open FF3 and all is OK

3) I turn Firewall off

4) I close FF and restart it

5) a Firefox with no bookmarks opens! where have they gone?

6) I had a bit of a panic.....

7) turned firewall on, restarted PC and my good FF3 with bookmarks is alive

FYI

Hi AstroMax,

This sounds almost like it could be coincidence as the firewall component does not touch anything in Firefox.  A few questions:

1) Are you able to reproduce this consistently?

2) Are you sure you didn't turn of the Antiphishing feature? As that has a toolbar within FF and could be related...

At this point if it's a recurring issue, then we'd like to narrow the problem down.

Thanks,
