Using Windows Vista SP1
Will i used the Nortons Removal tool and removed NIS 2009, By doing soo My add-ons on firefox started working again.. But the Nortons Toolbar 3.0 and Nortons IPS 1.0 wouldnt remove, but after rebooting computer which it booted by itself, then rechecked the add-on window and its been removed..
Now need to look how to reinstall My NIS2009 software, and hopefully won't cause the problem again.
You need to read the other posts and threads before posting something. I solved this problem already for somebody and its not an NIS problem its a Firefox problem. Please COMPLETELY uninstall Firefox. See here.
FireFox released and update version today FireFox3.03
Now I have no NIS2009 Toolbar listed on the FireFox toolbar, Also still waiting for someone to fix the Nortons IPS 1.0 for Firefox also does not work keeps saying it will be updated when i start FireFox but it keeps happening everytime i open FF
But also none of the Firefox extensions i have work either.. i get a message saying that some add-ons won't work until they update the software, but it only showed 1 add-on Nortons IPS 1.0 that i guess wouldn't work..
Any ideas when this will be fixed? or is this a FireFox problem?
Anyone else having this problem with no NIS toolbar on FireFox 3.03 that was released today i believe since i got a pop up asking me to installed the latest version of FF.

Yes i know how forums work, And if i would of seen the thread that you posted i would of replied to it, But since i didn't i posted a new message, There is No HARM done by doing soo..
Will removing Firefox and reinstalling it may have fixed the problem also But i uninstalled NIS2009 and reinstalled it and Everything is now working fine... So For me its was NIS2009 that was the problem.. Plus i had a problem with Nortons IPS 1.0 with firefox, And it seemed to have solved that problem also since haven't gotton any messages that firefox needs to be restarted so the update will install, So obviously i would have to lead toward of it being a NIS problem.
Besides rather reinstall NIS2009 than lose all my stuff in Firefox..
NIS 2009 + FF 3.0.3
No problem too :)
You dont need to loose anything in Firefox. Thats why there are extensions such as Febe which I use. What I meant is that dont post something which is the same problem as another post. Do not need 2 threads about the same thing. Here is a link to Febe.

cool :-)
Just tried it to see what would happen. No problems. I suggest reboot and if that don't work then uninstall/reinstall.
