NIS2009 - Unable to identify/localize infected files (false positives?)

Hello,

My NIS2009 is detecting several threats (Downloader, Trojan Horse (X5) and Backdoor.Trojan (X2) ) which it can't remove. The message, roughly translated from my Italian version, says "X can't be removed from an unsupported file".

I tried the official manual procedures from the Knowledge Base (impossible: the "temporary mode" scan crashes out before it lists the offending files), tried chat support (VERY rude and unhelpful) with no success. I also ran several malware removal tools (Windows Malware Removal, Spybot, Comodo BOClean, Bitdefender Online) finding no traces of these infections.

Now I wonder if they are false positives, if I would be better off dumping NIS altogether, and most of all... where the hell are them infected files, as there seems no way to actually know WHAT files are causing problems.

Also, getting NIS to stop terrorizing me with useless warning messages would be nice.

Can anybody help?

Thank you in advance.
