I just purchased NMS for my Android, and registered it. It seems to work fine, and has the whole suite of features.
After mucking around on iTunes for 45 mins., we finally managed to download NMS to my wife's iPhone. However, it only shows up on iTunes as Norton Mobile Anti-Theft.
When we finally downloaded and activated it (no mean feat), it did NOT feature: Anti Malware, Call Blocking or Web Protection modules, and the Anti Theft module did not feature Sneak Peek or Wipe Your Device.
Is this the way it is supposed to run on the iPhone? Seems like the Android version is FAR superior.
Hi 2cobber.
Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.
Sorry to have been a while in responding but I was hoping that someone with iPhone experience might jump in.
You are right that the features of Norton Mobile Security (NMS) for the iPhone and iPad are different from that for Android devices. This is because the systems operate in different ways and probably because Apple are hold the details of how their system works very closely. In the past this has been seen as a good thing as generally the Apple devices are seen as being relatively secure, in themselves.
As far as I recall the iPad/iPhone product does have a couple of features that are not available on the Android based NMS but by and large you are right in that there are more features in the Android based version. I think this is all set out on the web-site, though maybe it is not quite as clear as you might wish.
So my response to your question: "Is this the way it is supposed to run on the iPhone?" .... is - Yes.
I hope that helps.
