I updated my Norton 360 today to 20.1.1.2 and I have lost both my Norton desktop icon and my sidebar Norton icon. I have windows 7. Norton still appears to be working OK ,but I am having to access it via my task bar. Is this normal now ?

and you can move the norton incon back too the destop

Yes, the Gadget is now removed from the latest version.

Thanks for the links. i had not seen these . I agree with all you said . i will miss the reassurance of the green side bar gadget.
I wish i had not upgraded. I have another problem with my vista laptop ,where Norton Autofix is saying something needs fixing but after chatting with support they cannot sort it and say they will ring me back. ( i will not be holding my breath for that to happen )

Guess what ? Here we are 4 days later and still waiting for the promised ring back from support. They really need to get their act together.

Thanks for the offer David, I rang Norton support again tonight and this time they sorted out my problem ,full of apologies etc ,but if the first agent couldn't help he shouldn't have lied just to get rid of me. I won't be recommending Norton as strongly as i have in the past.
