You know , when you Google sth. in IE8, NIS will turn on with a checkmark for every results listed and telling you if the site is safe or not which may harming your computer , but in Chrome , I can't find any safe website checking so I never use Google search in Google Chrome , is it sounds like a joke !
someone know how to integrate this function into Chrome ? Someone can help?
I use Web of Trust (WOT) which does the same as the Norton thing. WOT is a Chrome extension and it classifies sites as green for safe and red for unsafe. If that is what you want, check here:

I use chrome as my primary browser and it was not until I searched for our site in Firefox that I even realized the importance to get verified and rated. Better late than never I suppose.
My point is I doubt Microsoft is watching behind this and they don't want to see Google Chrome becoming a big competitor, IE8 works well with Norton , but any other web browsers get much support from Symantec? Google is not a idiot , she has no reason don't know website safety tool-bar is so important in nowadays for users and give them a stop-go single before they open anything , can't imagine you are surfing without knowing some danger creatures outthere waiting for you!
I love both NIS and Chrome , I hope they can work together , but I don't like Microsoft , I think it always try monopolies of everything , find ways as much as it can to squeeze other new tech. companies out of the market.
Sorry, I probably hold some extremes views , I am a believer the Internet should be totally opened for sharing.

In all fairness, I think Microsoft and Google have very much in common. And Google knows your search history.
