Non Incremental Back ups consumming my external Hard Drive

I have made several sets of backups (just learned it's easy to just back up the whole computer) but after making the backups, Norton would erase the sets as an option so next time I would back it up it would have just a default option and would not back up the files incrementally but from scratch, consumming up to 2TB and then stoping because there was no more space in my external hard drive. What can I do?

Also, I have \Norton Security Suite 20.2.0.19. I want to backy up my computer and was reading a post about using Ghost. Is that included in the Norton SS or is it a completely different program?
