NordVPN split tunnel conflicting with Norton and blocking internet access

Every few months, my internet connection stops working. The Windows Internet Connection trouble shooter tells me that it is a security or firewall setting, and expanding for more info tells me that the setting that might be blocking the connection is the “NordVPN split tunnel”. What I have found is that just closing Nord is not enough and ending the task in the Task Manager is not enough. I have to uninstall Nord. When I do that, the internet connection is instantly restored. The weird thing about this is that even after immediately reinstalling Nord, my internet still works fine (at least until the next time this happens) and that nowhere in Norton 360 do I see any mention of Nord. I am not using the Norton VPN, so I don’t see how that could be causing a conflict. I’ve clicked all over the place in Norton’s confusing interface, and I see no mention of Nord being blocked or how to prevent it. How is that possible? Since this is a security and firewall issue, and Norton 360 is the firewall I’m using, Norton 360 must be blocking Nord. Wouldn’t there be a record of that or some sort of notification somewhere? Also strange is that I use Nord and every day almost 24/7, but this happens only every few months. Does anyone know how I can prevent this?Nord 1.PNGNord 2.PNG
