I've used Norton Internet Security Suite for a couple of years now, I'm a layman IT person for a small business and was about to have Norton Internet Security Suite installed on our work computers (two work computer's use NISS because it comes with the Comcast subscription). Anyway, my personal computer's also get Norton Internet Security Suite at home from my personal Comcast account.
My Comcast version of NISS began to create internet access problems, blocking valid redirects, causing virtual loop redirects etc... I uninstalled and reinstalled, no change. I downloaded Norton's clean-up tool, which deleted my driver for my fingerprint reader (prefer not to say which one). I used system restore etc... No repair insight. The more I tried to fix things the worse it got--and I am really good at fixing computers. Currently I'm responsible for 20 computer's at work and five at home and never have I had a problem that I couldn't fix--until now. It got so bad I couldn't even get my computer to turn on. I've always been able to get a response for black screen, again--until now.
So after paying $$ to have my computer brought back to life and spending 5, yes 5 days to get it back to par... I purchased Norton 360 and downloaded it. Instantly, my browser was sluggish. At first I tried to use chat support and they wanted to log onto my computer which I really didn't want...
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, used Norton's clean-up tool, reset the internet settings, used your repair tool (which says that it now is giving me internet connection) and still, I can't connect to the internet. So, I uninstalled your product and installed a competitor product. A competitor's product that is so non-invasive that for years I have run it simultaneously with your product on many computers. I had not yet installed the product before I finally decided to uninstall the Norton 360.
IDEA: I was a beta tester for a few years (years ago) for Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite and their program has an advanced user option that allows an end user to choose which programs the firewall will trust. I am thinking that your program is treating either a program or an add-in as a virus or as spyware. But to go through all of my programs is more trouble than the product is worth. The time involved is not worth it.
My computers have OS Vista, Win7, Win 8.1...
QUESTION: Can I transfer my personal purchase to my small office computers to see if it will work ok on those computers? As I said, my home computer's receive Norton via Comcast and the office computers get two subscriptions to NISS.
