Before I up graded to 2011, I had 2010, While sending e-mails I would get a indicator box to tell me that it was scanning the out going message. Since I up graded this no longer works. I have ticked the box to inform it that I want the mail to be scanned but it still won't work. I have removed the Norton product and re-installed it without any improvement.
Anyone got any ideas of what I can do to rectify this so that it shows the pop up box that the mail is being scanned?
Hi alberthodkinson
Welcome to the Norton Community Forums
In Settings go to Network Settings and click on Configure next to Email Antivirus Scan then check the box that says "Display Progress Indicator"
I have tried that mdturner, and the box is ticked, but it is still not showing when I send mail.
Is port 25 the SMTP setting you use for outgoing mail?
Hello Albert
Please check with your ISP to see if they have implemented any recent changes to their email servers which would require changes to your email settings. Those changes may have caused Norton to stop scanning your emails.
