I'm really hoping someone can help as this is driving me crazy.
I was using Internet Explorer 8 64bit and the Norton Toolbar was active. I upgraded to the full version of IE9 (64bit) and still the Norton Toolbar worked which is great as I rely on it a lot.
However, I've recently done a clean install of my pc, re-installing Windows and now the Norton toolbar has disappeared and I can't get it back. Right clicking underneath the address bar of IE8 & 9 shows all the toolbars and add-ons except Norton. It doesn't even show if I click 'Tools > Manage Add-ons' anymore either. It lists everything else apart from Norton and Symantec.
But what's really strange is that if I open the Norton 2011 program and click the Account button at the top, a new IE window opens and the toolbar appears complete with the option of turning it on/off if I right click underneath the address bar and everything shows in the Add-ons. But when I close this window it disappears completely. Why is this and why won't it appear all the time?
I've uninstalled NIS 2011 and re-installed it using Windows, uninstalled with the Norton removal tool and re-installed from the disc and downloaded the updates and taken out IE9 and gone back to IE8 while restarting my pc all the way. Nothing works anymore.
Oh, and I'm using Windows 7 64bit.
Thanks in advance!
