the new Norton build is allready there.
(I get an error, uploading a picture.)

I just completed Windows 11 reinstall from 10. And im getting the same issue. I can only update when i use the Norton VPN, and then i works fine.
Running 24.9.9452 (build 24.9.9452.875).
Same here, only if i activate Secure VPN LiveUpdate works otherwise it show “You are offline”
Similar to my thread:
Make the connection type to private not public and then the issue is fixed.

I think everything that has happened has been intentional to force revenue.
Forced to use the cloud to sell higher packages with more cloud space
Forced to use Norton VPN to sell data to Brokers
Forced to update to new view to see more nagware selling additional services.
I sure miss the days of Norton Internet Security when it just worked.
remember there is a 24.10 out now it can fix the problem and there is also a 24.11 out there dont has a patch note yet but the backup problem is possible fix in the 24.12 if what they say is true it is out before the 15 next mouth bjm got som info aboute a date to the 24.12 it is comming next mounth and that got som changes to that if what he nows is right the 24.11 is possible just a major bugfix and if they is not one the 24.10 ore 24.11 then that is the problem
@globus5000 Version/build 24.11.9615 (build 24.11.9615.887) was updated my side this morning. NO CHANGE to backup. NO change to much of anything. NO release notes.
