Doesn't anybody have any other suggestions since my original post? I still cannot access my company network through Citrix since upgrading my Norton 360. I don't think my company is working on a solution. If I remove Norton 360 I can access it but as soon as I reinstall I cannot access it.
Well for some reason I cannot seem to get a screen shot for you. The error message is ERROR: An error has occurred while trying to launch the application. Please contact your administrator. Log ID: 5dc8dda4. My operating system is Windows 7 and my browser is Internet Explorer 9. Norton 360 is version 6.2.1.5. I can log on to company's network but any applications I try to use (desktop, Lotus notes, etc.) give me an error code but with a different Log ID. I'm hoping there is a solution to this as I just renewed Norton Antivirus. Thank you.

bpatrick,
<< I don't think my company is working on a solution. >>
Does your company have an IT department and if so can they tell you what they see as the problem, even if they can't or don't want to fix it?
I'm not at all informed about Citrix but are you using its Bring-Your-Own Device
In your first post you describe your system and history so I'm going to copy that in here since it could be helpful:
<< I access my company network from home through Citrix. Since getting a new laptop and downloading the newest version of 360 I cannot access any of my company applications.
My operating system is Windows 7 and I am using Internet Explorer 9 on the new computer. I can log in but when I try to launch a program I get error messages. My company cannot seem to figure out why this is happening.
My old laptop accessed it fine, until I updated 360 there as well. The old computer was Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 8. Have tried resetting firewall settings, temporarily disabling the firewall, nothing works. >>
That would seem to point to a change in N 360 since it happened on the old computer.
Does Internet Explorer enter into the connection at all? If it does I'd suggest setting Compatibility mode to ON and seeing if that makes any difference -- I've encontered some weird malfunctions cured by doing that.

Did you mean to say you just renewed Norton 360, or did you renew a copy of Norton Antivirus? If you have both, or any other antivirus installed, you can have conflicts that can cause unusual behavior.
I only have one version and that is Norton 360. Sorry for the confusion.
My company does have an IT departure and they have not offered me any opinion on why it won't work other than the obvious that it has something to do with the updated version of Norton 360. One of them even went so far as to say they only use the free versions of virus software.
I do not know what "Bring-your-own-device" is. The only thing our IT department told me I had to download was a Citrix receiver. Like I said, I can log in with my user name and password but cannot launch any of the company applications which renders it useless.
I have to use Internet Explorer to get to the log on page. I have added the site to the "trusted sites" as well. Nothing seems to work. The only way I could get it to work was to remove Norton 360 and then log on. Once I reinstalled Norton 360 I could not get into any of the company applications again.
It is obviously something new in the current Norton 360 but shouldn't there be a potential fix for it? Thanks to all who are trying to help.

bpatrick,
Thanks for replying to my query -- I read a bit on the Citrix website and it sounds like you are using what they call "Bring your own Device" which as you say should enable you to log onto your company network and run applications that are not installed on your computer.
As you and they say it sounds like something changed in N360 and really only the Norton Staff -- names in red -- know what that might be and you do have the attention of one already so good luck.
If all else fails we can help you revert to N 360 V5 the 2011 version but you would be better off (safer) with the current version.
If you want to try it I don't see any harm in trying to set the Internet Explorer to Compatibility mode and see if it makes any difference! It's easy to reverse if it doesn't.
If you don't see what is called the Menu Bar (File ..... Help) when Internet Explorer is open to your company network to use what you want to, press the ALT key and it will appear.
Click on Tools and click on Compatibility View which should put a tick against it.
To change back just go through that again and it will remove the tick ....
Just a longshot ....
