Norton 360 and NordVPN Combo

I am (or was anyway) a happy user of the combo Norton for AV and NordVPN for VPN.

This week there was an update for my VPN, (from 6.40.5 to 6.41.1) and suddenly Norton seems to be blocking my VPN on boot.

The service is not starting (although set as autostart) when starting the service manually i am presented with a UAC popup requesting permission for the app to make changes to my system.

It appears to be related to Norton 360 (according to NordVPN). (Nord VPN is working on the problem but i'd like to know why the problem arises)

When i go back to the version before the update (uninstall new and reinstall old version) everything is working.

Anyone having the same (or similar) troubles?

Norton would not pop up a UAC dialog for another app. If the older version of the app still works and it only has issues with the newer version with no changes to Norton in between installing the two versions of the VPN, it would point to some issue with the new version of Nord VPN.

Just be sure that you do not have the Norton VPN feature turned on when trying to use Nord.
