Since entering a new product key for Norton 360 (worked fine previous key), have not been able to 'Sign In' to my account within the desktop app. Funny that, during install when asked to login (Sign In) to my account it worked just fine. Once the install is finished, when I try to login it fails, says 'Server error'; eludes to and issue on Norton's end (will add screen shot at end of post). I have the latest Win 11 updates, it worked fine on my Win 11 laptop (same Win updates) and 2 Android phones. I can login using any browser, no issues. I have tried h 3 full clean installs, no help. Did a full clean, as I mentioned (with Norton app), and even cleaned as much as I could from the Windows registry but still have to same problem after reboots and re-installs. Tried 2 times deleting my desktop from my Norton account hoping to help with clean install, no go! Also ensured I have the latest Norton updates, same. Odd that is sees that my account key is good and Active, just can't sign in. Because of this, can't activate my cloud back up either on this desktop. Early on in troubleshooting this, I reached out to tech support chat; they wanted to remote in. I'm always leery about that, and also did not have to time at that moment to let them. Thought I could solve it myself, not a total novice, but no luck. Hope someone out there has seen this, thanks.
Yea, I tried deleting all of the Norton files as well as the registry items. Was going to try your idea of putting in the key again, after deleting the subscription in my account but...
After numerous tries last night, gave up really. Still could not sign in on the desktop app so I did a restart and left it for the night. Late morning, jumped on computer to try the above but decided to try sign in again on a whim, WOW! It finally worked!! Odd, did nothing different at all except for the wait of about 15 hrs. Had to have been on the Norton server side. Thanks
hmmmmm, maybe try putting in the Product key directly?
Open Device Security
settings
info
Put in Product key directly
Otherwise, you can try removing all Norton from the PC, after remove only NRNR:
Delete all Norton from ProgramData
Delete all Norton from ProgramFiles
Put Norton in the search bar and delete all that you find there
reboot
Then re-install from my.norton.com (which auto signs you in)
But then again, you already cleaned the registry with the clean install.... I'm at a loss here.... Maybe the problem is on the Norton end here and might be resolved with the next update....
No VPN on, even tried turning off firewall. Did Remove only with NRNR, too many times now! Tried the cspn360 download install, still have same issue. Ran Live update several times, that's good. No problems with my account, can log into that all day long in browser. App is tied to my account, it comes up fine if I click it in the 'Help' section and has correct S/N. 'Sign In' always fails with the same error. The functions all work except Cloud backup since it cannot sign in. I guess I'm stuck with it like this, or I'm forced to contact tech support. Seems that their server is blocking my desktop sign in for some reason, need a reset on their end I believe.
Try doing live update, system tray (right down bottom)
right click
Live Update
If this doesn't work, how did you remove? Did you use NRNR remove only?

Step 5 option 2, remove only
Also after emove only try a direct install from norton.com/cspn360
