Okay my first question is if i delete the backup sets from my home computer will it have any affect on my nortons 360,and secondly how often does it backup and is there any way to change it
Hi evilestfunkiest.
Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.
Question 1
if i delete the backup sets from my home computer will it have any affect on my nortons 360?
The simple answer is no. All that should do, is prevent you from accessing the backup. What happens next however depends on how you "delete" them. If you know where Norton has stored the files and just go there and delete them then the next time N360 Backup runs they will be replaced. However if you go into N360: Backup: Manage Backup Sets and there select "Delete Backup Set" then Norton will not try and re-create them.
Question 2
how often does it backup and is there any way to change it?
How often, is set by going to N360: Backup: Manage Backup Sets then select the backup set in question (if you only have one it will probably be DefaultSet), then select the when tab. The options are laid out there and it is up to you to choose. I am not sure how frequently it tries to backup under "Automatic" but I suspect it is likely to be daily. Manual is obviously up to you but Norton will probably nag you if you leave it for more than about a fortnight.
Does that help?
[Edit - P.S. Why do you want to delete your backup and, where is it stored? Hopefully it is not stored on the actual computer you are "backing up"?]
